After breakfast, begin your journey northward to Gonphu, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Bhutan’s wilderness. En route, pass through the picturesque village of Surrey, known for its lush Cardamom and Mandarin plantations. On a clear day, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Jo Dungshing Peak, one of the highest mountains in the Black Mountain Range.
As you continue deeper into the pristine forests, the landscape transforms into a haven for wildlife. Keep an eye out for golden langurs, leopards, sambar deer, and an incredible variety of bird species that thrive in this rich ecosystem.
